The Giants waived Hodgins on Tuesday, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports.
Hodgins caught a lot of passes with the first-team offense last week but seems to be the odd man out now that Darius Slayton is at OTAs, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
His prototypical frame and impeccable hands fed his college success as a productive outside receiver. Excels at walling off defenders, high-pointing the catch and making route adjustments. Led his college squad in receiving as a sophomore and junior; he has experience and is accomplished as a primary target in an elite conference. Can be muzzled by physical corners; he lacks the quickness and burst to create separation. Also has trouble getting over the top on go routes.
Long Range Potential: Solid wide receiver and matchup specialist.
