Scouting Report

Unlike most top-10 picks these days, he spent three seasons in the NCAA ranks to fully hone his skills. The first Japanese player ever selected in the first round of the NBA Draft, he has an ideal body for the power forward position at the highest level. However, his athleticism make him an option on the wing as well and he can defend against much smaller players. Needs to continue to develop his outside shot in order to stretch the floor in the NBA and create more opportunities for both himself and his teammates. His maturity is off the charts and his demeanor is perfect for the basketball pioneer that he is.
