Rittich stopped 26 of 29 shots in Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Panthers. The fourth goal was an empty-netter.
Scouting Report
The Czech goalkeeper has explosive speed and excels at using his big body at sealing off the bottom of the net, although he will occasionally overplay the puck. He has a strong upper body and is adept with his stick. Has never been able to snag a starter's job in the NHL but is a reliable backup who can carry the load for a week or two, if needed.
Long Range Potential: Solid veteran backup goaltender.
