Hedman (illness) won't play against Minnesota on Tuesday, Eduardo A. Encina of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Scouting Report

Is still capable of playing major minutes after more than a decade in the NHL. His combination of size (6'6", 241 pounds) and elite skating ability make him tough to get around. His passing skills remain elite, although he could shoot the puck more often. Is one of the few defensemen who regularly takes part in shootouts, a true testament to his excellent overall skill set. Is not the most physical player, considering his size, but he remains among the NHL’s handful of top defensemen.
