Committed to attend Harvard University, he worked his way up the minor hockey ranks in the state of New Jersey before landing in the United States Hockey League with the Des Moines Buccaneers. Is a good playmaker from the wing position with plenty of hockey sense and offensive instincts that work well at any level. Lacks optimum size for the National Hockey League and also needs some work on his skating (his stride is a bit awkward and he also lacks quickness). Point production will always be his raison d'être as a professional hockey player, so he needs to prove himself offensively as he climbs the ladder.
