Head coach Mike McDaniels told reporters Tuesday that Jackson will require season-ending knee surgery, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
Jackson (knee) was placed on injured reserve Monday.
Physically well equipped, he has the height, length and mobility to succeed in the NFL, most likely at the right tackle position (with room for development as a left tackle). His length and athleticism are effective tools in pass protection; he keeps rushers at bay with long arms and a wide frame. Is technically efficient as a run blocker; he is nimble in the open field with advanced proficiency in zone blocking schemes. Improvements in footwork, strength and balance could allow him to migrate to the blind side over time.
Long Range Potential: Dependable offensive tackle with upside.
