Niang notched two points (1-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and one steal across 17 minutes during Saturday's 112-89 loss to Orlando in Game 4 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Niang posted 16 points (6-9 FG, 4-7 3Pt), one rebound and one assist across 23 minutes during Sunday's 120-110 loss to the Hornets.
Polished, skilled, and supremely smart with the ball. Capable of running the offense as a point-forward, and makes intelligent reads on offense. An excellent ball-handler and passer for his size, and makes a nice effort as a rebounder. Can hit the three with regularity, and is excellent on free throws. Brings an old-school game on 'O.' Not very athletic, not much of a leaper, and struggles on the defensive end with foul trouble. Doesn't bring great lateral 'quicks' on 'D' and is far from a bruiser under the hoop to make up for it. Somewhat a wing playmaker in a power forward's frame (although he doesn't have a great wingspan).
Long Range Potential: Smart, polished point-forward with seventh man tools.
