RJ LUIS LEAVES UTAH FOR BOSTON
The Boston Celtics acquired forward/guard RJ Luis Jr. from the Utah Jazz for forward Georges Niang and two future second-round draft picks.
What does it give the Boston Celtics
Luis Jr. is a young wing player who could find his way into the Celtics' rotation in 2025-26. That is because Boston will be missing Jayson Tatum for most (if not all) of '25-26, so the team is undergoing a bit of a retool at present time.
What does it give the Utah Jazz
The two future second-round draft picks acquired in this trade are the keys to this deal from a Utah perspective, although the years that these picks will be moved were not announced. Niang is surplus up front for Utah, so he could be moved.
Fantasy impact
Neither Luis Jr. nor Niang have much in the way of fantasy value going into the 2025-26 campaign. Look elsewhere for help this year.
