The Cubs signed Webb to a one-year contract Tuesday that includes a club option for 2027, Patrick Mooney of The Athletic reports.

Has already proven that he can be relied upon to close out ball games in the ninth inning at the minor-league level. Can be a solid strikeout pitcher, too. Lacks ideal height for a pitcher in Major League Baseball. While he can be hard to hit against in the minors, he often hurts himself with too many walks.
