Soto will be in the lineup for the Mets' Grapefruit League opener against the Astros on Saturday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
Scouting Report
Owns electric hands and outstanding hitting prowess. Can hit for both average and power, thanks to a great left-handed stroke. Also fields his position well because of his soft hands and baseball smarts. Does not have great speed, nor does he throw the ball with the gusto MLB teams expect from both center and right field (so he may be limited to left field in the bigs). Is not a major stolen-base threat.
Long Range Potential: Natural, left-handed slugger with big upside.
