Hekker (illness) is active for Sunday's game against the Patriots, Paul Kuharsky of PaulKuharsky.com reports.
The Titans are slated to sign Hekker to a one-year contract, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Is widely regarded as the best punter in the game and a generational talent. A terrific athlete built like a tight end, his extremely fluid motion results in towering flight path and deep trajectory that sends return men backpedaling. Excels at directional kicks and routinely pins opponents deep (with a low risk for blocks). Is a constant threat to play fake on fourth down, due to his running ability and deft passing skills. Could even play quarterback in a pinch.
Long Range Potential: Elite, versatile punter (one of the best ever).
