Hallander signed a five-year contract with Timra of the Swedish League on Friday, Seth Rorabaugh of TribLive.com reports.
Hallander was summoned by Pittsburgh on Thursday, Penguins radio play-by-play announcer Josh Getzoff reports.
Has a projectable frame and the desire to utilize it in the attacking zone in order to keep possession of the puck. Is also adept around the crease area because he owns a nose for the net. Is gritty and a talented offensive forward. While he can play both center and wing, his future at the National Hockey League level may be as a winger due to his ability to drive the net to score goals. Could stand to improve his two-way game in order to remain a center.
Long Range Potential: Solid, versatile forward with upside.
