Sturm (lower body) won't be back until after the 4 Nations Face-Off, per Curtis Pashelka of The San Jose Mercury News on Wednesday.
The undrafted forward was born in Germany but came to North America in his late teens and excelled in college hockey before turning pro. Plays a mature, smart game and can make an impact even when he is not putting up points because of his play away from the puck. He is a decent playmaker who is strong on his skates and has a little bit of finish, but he lacks the offensive dynamism that would make him more than a role player.
Long Range Potential: Speedy two-way forward.
