Was a huge physical specimen on skates and he knew when/how to use it effectively. Could play a scoring role at lower levels but was more of a role player in the National Hockey League. Was not a bad defensive player and excelled at the forechecking game. Was limited in terms of point production and lacked elite quickness and skating ability. Was also willing to drop the gloves when the situation called for it.
