MacDermid was a healthy scratch Thursday versus the Ducks and has suited up just eight times in 20 games to begin the season.

Scouting Report

Is versatile enough to play a depth role on defense or at forward. Brings plenty of size to either role, and is more than willing to punish opponents and stand up for his teammates. He will never generate a lot of offense but fills the role of tough guy very well.

Long Range Potential: Physical, versatile depth defenseman/winger.
