Head coach Travis Green said Tuesday that Jensen (knee) is a long shot to play again this year, Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia reports.

Jensen will undergo knee surgery to repair a torn meniscus and will be out for approximately six week, per TSN 1200 Ottawa on Tuesday.

Scouting Report

Moves the puck well and has good speed, enabling him to lug the puck out of the zone or start a play by hitting a teammate in stride. Will not produce big offensive numbers but can contribute in the offensive zone. Is not the most physical defenseman and can struggle a bit when trying to shut down bigger opponents.

Long Range Potential: Mobile puck-moving defenseman.
