Has the versatility to play whatever role is asked of him, as well as line up either at wing or center. Displays excellent defensive and penalty-killing skills. Is a natural leader. Will drop the gloves and instigate opponents. Is a limited offensive threat in the National Hockey League. His smallish frame and feisty game do lead to some injuries, and he also can take bad penalties from time to time that place his team behind the eight-ball.
