The smooth-skating defenseman has the speed to get the puck up the ice. He plays with more strength and physicality than his size would indicate. He is mobile enough to close out opposing forwards and physical enough to knock them off the puck. Although he has a good one-time slap shot, he is not a terrific puck mover. That limits his overall impact.
