Merkulov was recalled from AHL Providence on Friday.
Scouting Report
Born in Russia, he spent a lot of time in North America during his formative years. Put up solid numbers in both the USHL and NCAA ranks, but is somewhat of a late-blooming offensive talent. Can play all three forward positions, which adds to his overall value in the NHL.
