Scanlin is returning to AHL Hartford to rehab a lower-body injury, Vince Z. Mercogliano of The Athletic reports Tuesday.
Scouting Report
Signed as an undrafted free agent out of the NCAA ranks, he boasts great size for the defense position at the National Hockey League level. Does not produce a lot of offense, but he plays a stabilizing game from behind the blueline. Lacks game-to-game consistency.
Long Range Potential: Huge depth defenseman.
