Schmidt was dealt to the Flyers from the Lightning on Monday in exchange for Ethan Samson.
Scouting Report
A huge right-shooting defenseman, he can snuff out a lot of plays with his size. Has good mobility when he keeps his feet moving. His physicality, which at times overwhelmed opponents in junior hockey, may not make as much of an impression in the pros. He does offer a ton of offense, either.
Long Range Potential: Big physical defenseman.
