Holtz signed a two-year, $1.675 million contract with Vegas on Tuesday.
Holtz is with the Golden Knights on a professional tryout agreement for training camp despite remaining unsigned as a restricted free agent, Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.
He was good enough to play with men in Sweden before he was 18, and much is expected after he was taken No. 7 overall in the 2020 NHL Draft. He has a solid base, excellent quickness and good lateral movement, enabling him to create offense from the wing. Knows how to get open and has a good shot; he will have to prove that it is good enough to beat NHL goalkeepers on a consistent basis. Like most players trained in Sweden, his off-the-puck play is solid.
Long Range Potential: Supremely talented scoring winger.
