JORDAN PHILLIPS DEALT TO DALLAS

The Dallas Cowboys acquired nose tackle/defensive tackle Jordan Phillips and a seventh-round draft pick in 2026 from the New York Giants for a sixth-round draft pick and 2026.

What does it give the Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys are not completely satisfied with their defensive line as they approach the start of the regular season. They have been adding a few bodies to provide better depth, which is what they hope Phillips can do on the interior. He is mostly a run-stuffing nose tackle type, but he might be able to help Dallas.

What does it give the New York Giants
The Giants decided to make a trade with their NFC East division rivals in Dallas, which is fairly rare. That said, Phillips was clearly lower down on their depth chart at defensive tackle (and may not have been an ideal scheme fit for New York's defense). So, they moved him on for a one-round draft upgrade in '26.
