The Panthers placed Brown (thumb) on injured reserve Monday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.
The Panthers signed Brown to the 90-man training camp roster Saturday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
He is not a classic cover corner. Instead, he can play on the outside or line up against slot receivers, and is good at blitzing from the line of scrimmage when coming off the edge. He is also a willing tackler, despite being slightly undersized. Can often get burned deep by fast receivers when he has to go one on one against them. Is a decent playmaker with a nose for the football.
Long Range Potential: Decent, versatile cornerback.
