Fortner (ankle) is officially active ahead of Sunday's game against Kansas City, John Shipley of SI.com reports.
Coach Doug Pederson said Friday that Fortner (ankle) will suit up Sunday versus the Chiefs, Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reports.
He began his college football career as an offensive guard, and then switched to center (and was a team captain) as a senior, so he offers flexibility along the offensive line. He moves well in general, and especially laterally, has a high football IQ, plus quick hands and feet. He lacks elite strength and can struggle with bull-rush techniques at times, so he could stand to add strength in order to thrive in the NFL.
Long Range Potential: Versatile interior offensive lineman.
