Johnson brought in three of six targets for 15 yards in the Panthers' 26-3 loss to the Chargers on Sunday.
Johnson caught one of two targets for 17 yards in Saturday's 31-26 preseason win over the Bills.
A fast-twitch athlete and instinctive playmaker, he is fun to watch and challenges the conventional bias against undersized wide receivers. Will take unusual routes to the ball but is transformed once he has it; he is extremely creative with his open-field moves, and capable of gashing opponents with slippery cuts and elite straight-line speed downfield. Also thrives on a heavy workload and can return kicks at all levels. Can be bullied in coverage due to a lack of size. Also, he does not break many tackles and is somewhat prone to drops.
Long Range Potential: Dynamic wide receiver/return man with upside.
