WIZARDS, SIXERS SWAP GUARDS

The Washington Wizards acquired guard Reggie Jackson and a first-round draft pick in 2026 from the Philadelphia 76ers for guard Jared Butler, a second-round draft pick in 2027, a second-round draft pick in 2028 and two second-round draft picks in 2030.

What does it give the Washington Wizards
Jackson is a veteran point guard who was used sparingly in Philadelphia this season. He is unlikely to make much of an impact in D.C. down the stretch. In fact, he is a candidate to be waived before the end of the 2024-25 regular season.

What does it give the Philadelphia 76ers
In Butler, the Sixers land a guard who is 10 years younger than Jackson. He might have a future in Philadelphia, though he is unlikely to become an immediate part of the team's rotation. They moved out one first-rounder in order to land four seconds.

Fantasy impact
There is no fantasy impact here, as neither Jackson nor Butler is likely to see enough playing time to be useful in most fantasy leagues.
