Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said Monday that Dominguez could see save opportunities early on in the season on days Felix Bautista (elbow) is unavailable, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.
The Orioles exercised Dominguez's $8 million club option for 2025 on Monday.
Has the ability to strike out a lot of batters at lower levels, mostly due to great pure stuff. Is also hard to hit against. Can show flashes of dominance on the bump. Has a tendency to be too wild, even at lower levels, so he is going to have to curb his penchant for walks in order to maximize output in Major League Baseball. Lacks size.
Long Range Potential: Talented, inconsistent right-hander with some upside.
