Barlow signed a one-year, $2.5 million contract with the Reds on Tuesday, Jesse Rogers of ESPN.com reports.
Scouting Report
Owns an excellent fastball, mostly due to his very projectable (6-3) frame. Also boasts a curve, slider and changeup for a sound, four-pitch arsenal. Knows how to set batters up effectively. Has already undergone Tommy John surgery, so he could stand to add a little more bulk and strength to his frame in order to improve his chances of staying healthy in the future. Lacks consistency.
Long Range Potential: Talented right-hander with upside, when healthy.
