Cooper agreed to a minor-league contract with Atlanta on Sunday that includes an invitation to big-league spring training, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.
Scouting Report
Has outstanding size (6'5", 235 pounds), so he is an excellent target for infielders to throw to at first base. Can hit for both average and power in the minor leagues. Has never displayed any kind of consistency at any level. Can play both an outfield corner and first base, which adds to his overall value to Major League Baseball teams. Injuries have been an issue for him, too.
Long Range Potential: Versatile corner player and right-handed batter.
