The Orioles and Mullins avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $8.725 million contract Thursday, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports.
Mullins isn't in Baltimore's lineup for Saturday's game against Minnesota, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.
Has great speed, which helps him cover enough ground to play center field in the bigs. Can also utilize his legs when on base, and he has pretty good pop in his bat as well. Therefore, he can be a capable table-setter. Does not have a lot of home-run power, which limits his prospects as an everyday outfielder in Major League Baseball a little. Also, he does not have a great arm (which reduces his right-field chances in the bigs).
Long Range Potential: Speedy, rangy table-setting outfielder with upside.
