Smith (elbow) agreed Wednesday with the Mets on a one-year deal that includes a club option for 2026, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports.
Scouting Report
Boasts a big arm and quality fastball. Owns a projectable (6'2") frame. There is good deception in his delivery, which helps him rack up strikeouts in the minor leagues. Lacks consistency. Needs to command his pitches better, specifically his big-breaking curve, in order to maximize output at the big-league level. Also needs to add more bulk.
Long Range Potential: Decent reliever.
