Atlanta transferred Riley (abdomen) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day injured list Monday.
Atlanta announced Thursday that Riley (abdomen) underwent season-ending core injury surgery.
A natural with a strong arm who also pitched in high school, he owns tremendous home-run power and run-producing qualities. Can also hit for average, though strikeouts also come with the territory here. Due to his arm strength, plus good footwork, he is a capable fielder at the hot corner (though he can also play on the outfield corners). Worked very hard to improve his physique but he will need to continue to keep his conditioning in check throughout his career.
Long Range Potential: Versatile power hitter and run producer with good upside.
