Team Canada manager Ernie Whitt said that Naylor will be included in the lineup for Wednesday's matchup with Team Cuba in the World Baseball Classic after being hit on the right elbow in Tuesday's 3-2 win over Team Puerto Rico, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Naylor and the Mariners are finalizing a five-year contract Sunday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Scouting Report

Owns a massive lower frame and prodigious power. Can also hit for average at lower levels and runs well for such a large individual. His walk/strikeout ratio is usually first-rate in the minors. Can play both first base and left field, though he is not a natural with the glove. Will always need to hit to stay in the lineup in MLB.

Long Range Potential: Thick, powerful and versatile hitter with upside.
