Montgomery didn't factor in the decision Sunday against the Brewers after giving up three runs on six hits with six strikeouts and two walks over 4.1 innings.
Montgomery is slated to start Tuesday's game against the Rockies at Coors Field, Jesse Friedman of GoPHNX.com reports.
Owns an ideal pitchers' frame (6-6, 225 pounds) and an excellent repertoire for the starting rotation in Major League Baseball. Is a fairly consistent strike-thrower, as well. Can get beaten by the long ball from time to time, so it is always imperative that he keep the ball down in the strike zone. Also needs to prove he can pitch deep in games.
Long Range Potential: Talented left-hander with some upside.
