The Dodgers reached a contract agreement with Yates on Tuesday, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports.
Scouting Report
Has proven to be a very successful closer at the minor-league level, and his stuff is quite lethal--leading to huge strikeout totals. Is confident in his overall ability. Does not have ideal size for a big-league pitcher (5'10", 205 pounds), so he must prove capable of maintaining his stamina (and avoiding injury) at the highest level.
Long Range Potential: Solid reliever.
