The Mets signed Edwards to a minor-league contract with an invitation to spring training Monday, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.
Scouting Report
Owns a great fastball with plenty of movement. His curve is also an out-pitch for him, and the rest of his repertoire (slider, changeup) is also up to big-league standards. Needs to fill out his rather thin frame in order to maximize production at the highest level (and also to try to avoid injuries down the road). Must become more durable.
Long Range Potential: Inconsistent right-hander.
