Kelly signed a two-year, $11.5 million contract with the Cubs on Friday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.
Scouting Report
Is a quality receiver with soft hands and a strong throwing arm, making him a solid defensive catcher. At the dish, he has some untapped power and the ability to draw walks. Does not have natural hitting ability, so he will always struggle to keep his batting average respectable in Major League Baseball. Must improve his approach at the dish.
