Chafin (2-1) allowed three runs on two hits and a walk without recording an out to take the loss Friday against the Astros.
Scouting Report
Has a deceptive delivery, good slider and pretty good changeup. A starter earlier in his minor-league career, he has established himself as a reliever in MLB. Pitches to contact as a starter but may be better as a specialist. May be too hittable at times, mainly because he does not max out with great velocity all the time. He gets hammered when his pitches elevate.
Long Range Potential: Decent left-hander.
