The Tigers traded Chafin to the Rangers on Tuesday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.
Scouting Report
Has a deceptive delivery, good slider and pretty good changeup. Can be used as a starter or reliever, which adds value. Pitches to contact as a starter but may be better as a specialist. May be too hittable for the big leagues as a starting pitcher, mainly because he does not max out with great velocity when in that role. Gets hammered when his pitches elevate.
Long Range Potential: Versatile left-hander.
