Anderson allowed one run on two hits and one walk while striking out one batter in a spring start against Cincinnati on Wednesday.
Anderson (10-15) took the loss Thursday against the White Sox, allowing five runs (four earned) on four hits and three walks across 4.1 innings. He struck out two.
Owns an ideal pitchers' frame and a fairly strong repertoire, including a decent fastball, solid cutter and quality changeup. Deception (he hides the ball well) is also a big part of his game. Injuries have been an issue so far in his development, so he needs to prove he can be a durable and reliable starter at the highest level. Needs to improve results against left-handed bats.
