The Red Sox signed Moore (forearm) to a minor-league contract Thursday that includes an invitation to spring training, Rob Bradford of WEEI.com reports.
Scouting Report
Owns a wicked pitching arsenal and can be an elite strikeout artist (when healthy). Can dominate on the hill, especially due to the great velocity of his fastball. Lacks consistency with his breaking pitches. Also needs to show greater stamina to dominate as a big-league starter, since injuries are often an issue here. Has pretty good size, so the potential to become more durable is there.
Long Range Potential: Solid left-hander (when healthy).
