The Rockies transferred Bard (elbow) to the 60-day IL on Sunday.

Bard (knee) will undergo right flexor tendon surgery and miss the rest of the 2024 season, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
Scouting Report
Had a great pitchers' frame and an electric fastball. Could dominate hitters when he was on. Was not afraid of pitching in pressure situations. Was at his best when pitching out of the bullpen. Never proved he had enough of a repertoire to get batters out repeatedly, since he struggled as a starting pitcher. Could also get into a lot of trouble when he lost command of his pitches.
Long Range Potential: Inconsistent right-hander.
