Jones scored a goal on two shots in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Islanders.
Jones scored a power-play goal on five shots, added an assist, logged two hits and went plus-3 in Saturday's 7-6 overtime win over the Blue Jackets.
The son of former NBA forward Popeye Jones was the No. 4 player taken in the 2013 NHL Draft and is living up to that billing thanks to his impressive all-around game along the blueline and his ability to play huge minutes on a nightly basis. He moves the puck well, can play a shutdown role if needed and also has a big shot from the point. Is not the most physical of defensemen, despite good size.
