PROSPAL BACK TO TAMPA

The Tampa Bay Lightning acquired forward Vaclav Prospal from the Philadelphia Flyers for a seventh-round draft pick in 2008 and a conditional draft pick in 2009.

What does it give the Tampa Bay Lightning
The Lightning acquired Prospal's rights with the hope they can re-sign him to serve a third tour of duty with the hockey club. The veteran Czech had a falling-out with former Bolts coach John Tortorella, so the latter's dismissal opened the door for the possible return of Prospal.

What does it give the Philadelphia Flyers
The Flyers will receive Tampa's last rounder in this year's draft, and the rumored conditional pick for 2009 is a fourth rounder IF Prospal decides to return to Tampa Bay. It's a good deal for the Flyers as well, since Prospal was essentialy brought in to replace Simon Gagne--who should be back in the lineup next season.
