CODY GLASS GOES TO PITTSBURGH

The Pittsburgh Penguins acquired forward Cody Glass, a third-round draft pick in 2025 and a sixth-round draft pick in 2026 from the Nashville Predators for forward Jordan Frasca.

What does it give the Pittsburgh Penguins
The Penguins continue to stockpile draft picks by adding players other NHL teams no longer want (or can no longer afford). Glass still has some untapped upside, but he joins a very crowded forward group in Pittsburgh. He needs a strong training camp.

What does it give the Nashville Predators
For the Predators, this deal is all about dumping Glass and his $2.5 million cap hit. It cost them two draft picks, but Nashville is currently looking to win now. Frasca is just a player dump by the Penguins, since they were already at the 50-contracts limit.

Fantasy impact
Glass is the ultimate dark horse heading into 2024-25 with the Penguins. A strong training camp could put him in great position for a breakout season, but a quiet camp might buy him a ticket to the AHL (via waivers). There are better players to gamble on this year than Glass. Pass. Frasca has zero value.
