TEXIER TRADED TO St. LOUIS

The St. Louis Blues acquired winger Alexandre Texier from the Columbus Blue Jackets for a fourth-round draft pick in 2025.

What does it give the St. Louis Blues
Texier brings speed, tenacity and two-way prowess to the Blues. He has had issues, but is still young enough (25 this September) to make an impact with his new team.

What does it give the Columbus Blue Jackets
The Blue Jackets currently have a surplus at forward, especially if they grab another high-end forward with the fourth overall pick in this year's draft. So, they moved Texier for a pick.

Fantasy impact
Keep an eye on Texier in St. Louis. He could play a bigger role with the Blues, or he can revert back to being a depth forward. At this point, it is up in the air.
