KOLANOS FOR BRENDL
The Carolina Hurricanes acquired center Krystofer Kolanos from the Phoenix Coyotes for winger Pavel Brendl.
What does it give the Carolina Hurricanes
The Hurricanes hope Kolanos can finally settle down in their organization, after moving from Phoenix to Edmonton and back to Phoenix this season. For now, he'll start out with Lowell (AHL) but may eventually see some time later this season in Raleigh. Kolanos needs to get his game back together, and Carolina may be the cure.
What does it give the Phoenix Coyotes
A change of scenery was needed in Brendl's case. Perhaps Wayne Gretzky will be able to get the most of Brendl's offensive gifts. For now, he'll line up with the San Antonio Rampage (AHL) with the hope of rediscovering his fading prospect status.
