GREENARD GOES TO PHILADELPHIA

The Philadelphia Eagles acquired linebacker/defensive end Jonathan Greenard and a seventh-round draft pick in 2026 (No. 244 overall) from the Minnesota Vikings for a third-round draft pick in 2026 (No. 98 overall) and a third-round draft pick in 2027.

What does it give the Philadelphia Eagles
Eagles GM Howie Roseman always finds a way to steal the show, whether it be draft weekend or the trade deadline. Greenard arrives as an upgrade to Philadelphia's pass rush off the edge. He will team with Nolan Smith Jr., Jalyx Hunt and others to provide quality depth at the position.

What does it give the Minnesota Vikings
For the Vikings, they were able to secure two third-round draft picks (one this year, one next year) in this trade. That said, losing Greenard leaves them a bit thin at the edge positions. Dallas Turner and veteran Andrew Van Ginkel are now the likely starters but more help is needed.

Fantasy impact
Greenard might be a decent option in deep IDP (individual defensive player) leagues this year. Draft him with a late-round pick and hope he adjusts well to the Eagles.
