The Tennessee Titans acquired linebacker Ernest Jones from the Los Angeles Rams for a fifth-round draft pick in 2026.
What does it give the Tennessee Titans
Jones should be a legitimate upgrade at inside linebacker for the Titans. Look for him to team with fellow newcomer Kenneth Murray, ex of the Chargers. Tennessee's run defense should be a team strength in 2024.
What does it give the Los Angeles Rams
For the Rams, this trade was coming after the team gave Jones permission to seek out a trade. He did, and now he is with Tennessee. LA's defense may take a hit after this trade, but at least the team got back a draft pick.
Fantasy impact
In IDP (individual defensive player) leagues, Jones might have some value as a tackling machine. He could be worth a late-round pick in some leagues.
