The Philadelphia Eagles acquired safety/cornerback C.J. Gardner-Johnson and a seventh-round draft pick in 2025 from the New Orleans Saints for a fifth-round draft pick in 2024 and a conditional sixth-round draft pick in 2024.

The Eagles will likely use the hybrid safety/cornerback in more of a safety role this season. That is because Philly decided to let guys like Anthony Harris and Jaquiski Tartt go. Gardner-Johnson is an upgrade.
